| The Oakland Community College STEPS (Science Technology and Engineering Preview Summer) Camp for girls is currently seeking college sophomore, junior or senior female applicants to fill 6 paid Camp Counselor/Mentor positions for our 2008 summer camp, which will run from July 19-26.
This year we will also be holding a special one day orientation one week prior to the camp for all Camp Counselors (exact date TBA).
Each Counselor position includes a salary, room and board, meals and the opportunity to work with youth in an educational setting. Ideal candidates will be those who are studying Science, Engineering, Math, Education, Psychology or Social Work and who are responsible, reliable and energetic. We are specifically seeking college students who possess the skills necessary to assist camp staff by providing administrative/programming support, mentoring and supervision to a group of 36 high school students aged 15-18 for a period of one week.
