Responsible for providing technical pre and post sales support to our North American clients and partners.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
1. Provide technical guidance to our customers, channel partners and end users.
2. Assist Braintech technical sales staff in creating proposals for tailored applications.
3. Prototype potential applications using Braintech’s eVF runtime environment to assess feasibility of specific applications.
4. On-site integration of eVF software including camera installation, PLC’s and image capture boards.
5. Provide remote and on-site technical support resolving issues with existing installations.
6. Develop application specific Vision Guided Robotic solutions utilizing Braintech’s eVision Factory software platform.
Job Requirements
US Citizen
Education: Engineering degree in Computer, Electrical, Systems Engineering or similar discipline.
Required Experience: 3-5+ years field engineer/applications engineer. Extensive experience with configuration of various robotics, automation or control software applications especially those requiring script-based or graphical programming (Example: LabView from National Instruments). Working knowledge of software development using any popular programming languages such as C/C++. Exceptional problem solving skills. Ability to demonstrate a high level of follow through, organization and adherance to tight deadlines. Strong negotiation skills and ability to work with all levels of an organization. Capacity to execute tasks to achieve objective goals. Ability to leverage business and technical knowledge to understand customer’s applications and execute solutions.
Job Knowledge: Outstanding oral and written presentation skills. Ability to travel extensively. Strong interpersonal skills. Must be open minded and positive.
